  4. I can’t quite tell from the photo — is that a rock in the second photograph, or an ant hill? It certainly looks a variant of our fire ant mounds, but I’m pretty sure you don’t have those ghastly creatures.

  8. I love the Trilliums and they have just appeared here in Southern Ontario with our cold spring. I see them in the forest when I am out riding my horse. Sadly it is hard to take photos from atop a horse. The last time out I saw two groups of what looked like red trillium. They were bigger than the white ones with a larger bloom. Do you know if those are trillium or is it something else?

  10. That is a beautiful mass of white trillums. I don’t think I have ever seen so many in one place before! If I remember correctly from my days back east, the Mount Greylock area of western Massachusetts had a good population of them.
