On this spring equinox morning a huge sun, filtered by morning clouds, hangs over East Hill and Cornell University. Taken from our home on West Hill, looking across the valley and Ithaca, New York.
The temperature is a balmy 18 degrees F.

Can you pick out these Cornell landmarks?
— Jenny McGraw Tower
— Lib Slope still covered in snow from last week’s storm.
— the looming fortress shape of Bradford Hall.

As you may have seen from my posts, my Dad was from the Ithaca area and graduated from Cornell with references in “My Father’s Greatest Gift: Life Lessons from a Blank English Labrador Retriever” to Cornell, Myers, Salmon Creek and Taughannock Falls State Park.

I’ve lived here most of my adult life. 25 years in a Mill House on Fall Creek near Freeville. New York and, since 2011, on a house on West Hill overlooking Cornell. See it every morning, as well as Cayuga Lake. Thanks for the message Lori. I will look up your referenced posting.

Yes, One of my recent posts, The Masterpiece of Time, has photography and inspiring writings of Robert Treman State Park. You must own a lifetime member pass to the gorgeous State Parks in the Ithaca area!
