After our tour of the Ulster Museum and the Botanic Gardens of Belfast we stopped in for refreshment across the street at Maggie May’s Belfast Cafe. I am wearing a Cortland Line Company fishing vest adapted for photography. I purchased the vest at the company store, Cortland, New York just north of our Ithaca home.

Our latte’s were perfection. The header photo looks forward to our visit to the gardens.

I wonder if the name of the café might be a tribute to Rod Stewart and his song? Perhaps the name’s more common there.

Great question, I’d not picked up on that. Maggie May’s Belfast Cafe is a local restaurant chair, with a web site. You might drop them a line with a question….there is not a founding story on the web site (that I could find).

What a wonderful couple you make! All kudos to the photography skills of your waitress. However, Michael, it took a happy couple to make it ‘just right’!
