Wandering Zion canyon I spied three visitors seemingly trying their luck on the cliff edge, where the water drops.
Look closely and the rope barrier can be picked out. Can you see the three figures? Click on the image for a larger view.
Captured with a Kodak DCS Pro SLE/c dslr and a Canon lens EF 200 mm 1:2.8 L II stabilized with the Manfrotto Studio Tripod model 475 and the 468 Hydrostatic ball head. This series explores the possibility of the iconic “Lone Pine.”
Wow! I would be afraid to be so close to the edge but absolutely beautiful!

A little fear is self-preservation. We read about people falling to their deaths in Zion with some frequency.

I love the big โdeadโ tree in the foreground with itโs aged, twisted branches. Looks like itโs been there a long time!

Looks like a juniper…amazing how long they hold on after death. In reasonably good focus at f/22.

Wonderful portrait of the rock face, waterfall and scenery, Michael Stephen. You captured well the drama of Zion.
