In the Finger Lakes’ embrace, where Lick Brook sings,
Through Thayer Preserve, nature’s realm takes wing.
Here, cascades whisper ancient tales,
Among verdant hills and shadowed dales.
Emerald canopies in sunlight gleam,
Reflecting in waters with a silver sheen.
Deer prance in meadows, birds in flight,
In this tranquil haven, day meets night.
A symphony of life, wild and free,
In these hallowed woods, spirits dance with glee.

Autumn is beautiful even when the leaves have all fallen. The best season!

Always sad when it ends with the November/December snows

The images with the reflections of the trees on the water framed by the leaves are beautiful. Reminds of a Monet painting.
